Cleveland Co-Operative Stove Company

cleveland co-op stove grand range rare find

Never in a manillion years did I think that I would search for something on the web and not find what I was looking for. It is exciting and frustrating at the same time. It has become a temporary addiction, which resulted in 5 hours of research in one night alone.

Why am I looking for info on an old stove…because my Grandma has one and she wants to see what it is worth. Sounds easy enough, but it hasn’t been so far. I’m starting to think the rare 19th century Grand combination range made by The Cleveland Co-operative Stove Company that she has is more than vintage. I know the company existed and I know that maybe 2 other people wrote about having one…so what I want to know is what is this thing worth? I guess this is where the Antique Roadshow comes in…

If you know anything about this stove…leave me a comment!

Here is what I found:
Theodore Migchelbrink invented it and it was patented on June 17, 1924 - see actual patent pdf

Here is a manual

Samantha Who?

Ok…I’m gonna type it as i see it and not hit backspace anymore on this keyboard today…because sometimes backspace is really really bad for me…like bad bad and I contribute these negative feelings I have of the backspace button to/from writing all those friggin papers in college and even my early academic years…I dunno if it was my era or area…whatever, theres all kinds of factors-scientifically and psychologically…thats another post for another time. Backspace is like Myspace sometimes……..can be very very bad…if not used appropriately.

My point is I was programmed to write MLA style for sooo long that I literally take too long to write because I get stuck reading and rewriting and moving and shaking all the sentences the goal is to achieve perfect…no thy PREFERRED structure. For those of you who are unable to interpret what I am saying - Im saying - I know how to do it right…writing that is…but sometimes I dont want to be right…and that doesnt make me wrong! So here it is on a broken glass sanded plate…not broken really just chipped around the edges…
Too much for you…you dont have to read this if you dont want to…but I dont know why you wouldn’t? ~rhetoric

My chipped writing plate - I am fascinated with creative writing/writers…it is not soo much the content…Im interested in…because we all got sumthin to say about the same old somethings and nothings and truthfully…I am feelin like I heard it all already. blah blah blah - (not everything…im referring to particular channels of communication - tv, media, news, credit card statments, speeches, commercials, spam, and sometimes people.(if ur reading this is not u)!

This is just my opinion…and if you made it down to this sentence then…you got to know this.

WHAT YOU JUST READ~THE STUFF UP THERE~IS EXACTLY THE CREATIVE WRITING I ENJOY

There is nothing right about any of it…but I do know that it is fun to write, fun to read(is for me hopefully yall too) -

**WARNING**
non-critical thinking is required when reading this post/blog. you may be required to THINK about the words as you read them…possible side effects/affects?(do u know which spelling goes here? i do - look it up here if u forgot and care)
They are: undetermined at this time

Slow Reading may occur………….

If you don’t like anything you have read here…then maybe comeback another day and read it again…

IT IS THE SAME AS ASKING “SAMANTHA WHO?”
YOU WILL NEVER REALLY KNOW AS LONG AS YOU KEEP ASKING…

That is the question…by God…we need some answers here…for goodness sake. Good luck with that one…if this gal Samantha can’t remember who she is or was…does she really think she can find out by asking people what for there perceptionwhitchMuch like the character in abc’s new pilot “Samantha who?”, The trickyness of the “Samantha Who?” question is it is that the answers are all different because Samantha, by the grace of
