It’s that time again. The Skatepark of Tampa is getting ready for the Tampa Am contest. The contest starts on Friday, January 27th. I hear Danny Renaud is riding for them for $100.00 a day. Is this true?

Westside Skateshop in Tarpon upgraded. The location which is only 2 doors down is bigger and better. I guess they needed more wall space for all those Nike SB’s. The new shop looks great. So do the new Westside T-shirt Graphics…They will be available soon on Westside Skateshops Online Shop.

I love this time of year. What I like best about entering a new year is the feeling of a fresh start. You know what I’m talking about…new year, new goals, new hopes, new resolutions. I can honestly say that this was hands down one of the best New Year’s I have ever had. It also resulted in one of the longest hangovers…but it was worth it. Man, I think my hangover lasted 4 days or so. The good news is I had plenty of time to think about my New Year’s Resolution(s). I think I even wrote them down somewhere. If I could only find that piece of paper…oh well. I don’t even know where to begin, so I will start with dinner on New Years. Our New Year’s Tour started with a delicious steak and lobster dinner at Clint’s mom’s house. After dinner we headed to the farm where “The Shepherd” was throwing a private party.
I can sum up the ambience of the party like this. It was a like “The Dukes of Hazzard” on the fourth of July.

There was moonshine, a huge fire, and big trucks. It was soo much fun. I bet they spent $1000.00 on fireworks. I think I met like 15 new people at that party. We stayed at the farm until the ball dropped. Then I came up with this brilliantly stupid idea to go to “Nocturnal” the local bottle club. We met up with an old acquaintance we like to call “party boy”. The 3 of us made our way thru the door and the pat down at Nocturnal BYOB. This was my first time at Nocturnal and certainly my last. I ran into people from my past life…people I haven’t seen in probably 6 years. How they ended up at my crib, I don’t remember. Anyways, I shook my ass for awhile said my farewells and back to the crib we go…Clint, Party Boy and I.
The time is now 5:00 in the am and my phone rings and next thing I know I have company. As usual getting thru the gate of my apartments is like trying to get an XBOX 360 on christmas. I don’t understand why it is so hard to find a name and hit call…but obviously it is. My guests arrive with good news - shortly after we left the club someone shot out the windows(not the first time). It is good news because it happened after we left. My company stayed a bit and 3 out of 4 went home. The sun was coming up and we knew that there were 2 options: go t0 bed or go to the next party. Well, after thinking it thru and making a few calls we have a plan. It just so happens that some friends have 2-2bedroom suites at The Westin Innisbrook Golf Resort. We are on our way!
All I can say is what happens at Innisbrook stays at Innisbrook! I think there bill was $2000.00…that’s just for the rooms.

Anyways…It was a spectacular New Year’s Tour.
